Physical Therapy Jobs Not Paying Enough?
Despite the fact that physical therapy jobs are expected to rise by 27% overthe next ten years (www.bls.gov), employers say theyâll have a hard timestaffing healthcare openings and retaining physical therapy healthcarecareers.
According to www.pubmed.com, the two most important reasons for leaving ajob were “desire to pursue a different area of physical therapy” and“insufficient salary to meet financial needs.”
According to the bureau of Labor Statistics, this physical therapy jobsproblem may be hampered by ââ¦the proposed Federal legislation imposinglimits on reimbursement for therapy services [this may] affect the short-termjob outlook for physical therapists.â
Employers say to combat these problems theyâll have to come up withvarious strategies to retain their staff.
Indications are that theyâll have to do more research and testing to comeup with an effective plan to target this medical job field.
